Unfortunately we just spent one week in this wonderful hotel, but sufficient to say that we will repeat as soon as we can. The staff has been extremely kindly, the breakfast is simply a dream. We had a very spacious room, whit a small balcony opening to the busy street where we had the opportunity to enjoy drinking a glass of delicious Italian wine, while watching people shopping.

We just spent two nights at the maison tofani with our two teen age daughters. We had a large room which had a queen size bed and room for two twin beds . Although we were all in one room , it was large enough if you don't mind the lack of privacy . It's hard to find accommodations in Italy that have room for four in one room and this was considerably more economical than getting two separate rooms . The beds were extremely comfortable and the bathroom had a shower with several types of powerful sprays . The rooms are simply decorated . Good location near lots of small shops and restaurants . The breakfast buffet was exceptional with the largest selection of items of any property we stayed in our whole trip. The dining room for breakfast is very pretty with a nice server who provided fresh cappuccino . Giovanni was an outstanding host . He personally helped us with purchasing a calling card at a shop across the street and came to our room to help us make a call to the US using the calling card . (The instructions were in italian ) I recommend Maison Tofani if you are staying in sorrento and are looking for a small , attractive property with personal service , great breakfasts and great value , especially for families travelling with children .

We spent 7 great days in Sorrento in this stylish and boutique hotel, located in the heart of Sorrento town. A warm welcome from Giovanni initiated the experience and he continued to provide advice and help throughout. He presented us with some tour options at first (more later) but there was no serious pressure to purchase (in fact the opposite). The room was a classically designed, spacious with modcons (TV, hairdryer etc) discreetly unobstructive. We had a room overlooking the busy street below but with windows this dissapated into a low muffle. The breakfast room was very impressive with paintings, vases and classic paraphernalia evenly distributed. The ceiling was a true work of art and the breakfast lived up to the billing (fresh fruit, cerials and baked goods complemented by an eclectic array of pastries and cakes (with new creations every morning). Giovanni was happy to help with all bookings and I would recommend the one day boat trip to Capri. We had 10 people on the boat (better than the 40+ boats offered outside) but the key difference was that most of the day is spent at sea (great for swimming, lazing and sightseeing). Top tip. Go to the front of the boat for the best views and cushions. All in all a great trip away.

Our private bus wouldn't fit down the street Maison Tofani was located on, so the delightful staff Rita & Guissepe came out to the square to meet us and carry our bags. We were a family group of 10 travelling from New Zealand and this hotel was truly a highlight of our accommodation around Italy. Maria, the owners, amazing home-cooked breakfast with organic vegetable selections she had grown in her own garden was amazing in the beautiful dining room with fresco painted ceiling. The front counter checkin manager was super helpful and made our Vatican Museum booking for us ahead of our stay in Rome so we didn't have to queue with the kids. Our kids loved the pet turtles. Rooms were very spacious & charming with lovely tiled bathrooms. Top marks!

Great location very clean superb customer service loved the breakfast Great experience , Giovani was amazing he was very polite and helpful Loves the breakfast room , lots of veriaty for breakfast .room was clean and cute . Loved the location close to shopping centre .

My wife and I spent two nights at this wonderful hotel, but we could have easily spent more. Giovanni was excellent. He arranged our transfer to and from the hotel, and he even packed us a breakfast for our last morning when we had an early flight to catch. Maison Tofani is an easy walk to all restaurants, shopping, ferries, and buses. Our room was unique with a nice hot-tub, shower, and view of Capri over the rooftops. Would recommend this hotel!

We spent 4 nights at this hotel and would highly recommend it to any prospective visitor. Located just off the main pedestrian tourist thoroughfare and but a short walk from most of the local sights. Staff are all very pleasant and welcoming. Rooms well appointed and decorated. Breakfast room is sensational. So is the actual breakfast buffet itself! The local cat is a charmer too!! Only small issues would be the late night noise from a cafe bar below the room we stayed in (No 102) and a slight feeling that the rates are a bit on the high side.

in mid August my husband and I with 2 friends spent 5 memorable days in Sorrento. Maison Tofani was the perfect choice of hotel - centrally located in the old quarter of the town, spacious rooms, beautiful dining room and excellent breakfasts. We also had dinner on several evenings in the hotel's 2 restaurants which are close by - great food and great service. One reason for our visiting Sorrento was to take the train to Herculaneum, and the station was an easy walk from the hotel. The hotel aranged two trips for us - a boat trip round Capri and a driver guided tour of the Amalfi coast. Both were well organised and enjoyable experiences - our thanks to Giovanni for the arrangements and to the captain of the boat and Gianpaolo, our driver, for their professionalism and excellent customer care.

Stayed here for 6 nights in early May. Room #103 was large with high ceilings, very tastefully decorated and comfortable. Overlooking street but no noise at night due to amazingly thick french windows. The breakfast is wonderful and served in a lovely room on the same floor. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The owner also owns two restaurants close by which were the best we ate at in Sorrento.

We spent 4 nights here and loved it. It is nestled in an old cobble-stoned lane, right in the heart if town, not far from the main square. We caught the train from Naples and it was only a short walk from the station to the hotel. We stayed in a 'family room' and it was very spacious. The breakfast room was amazing. We would stay again and definitely recommend this hotel. The owner and staff were all wonderful.

Rooms are lovely and the dining room has this amazing painted ceiling. The staff are very helpful especially with advice on travel, where to visit and restaurants. The breakfast has about 10 different types of cakes so if you have a sweet tooth it's fatal !!!. Fruit, cheeses, ham, eggs etc, marmalade in huge jars, fruit juices, breads and served hot drinks are also on offer. The room we had overlooked the small alleyway filled with shops it had a French balcony which was only a foot wide so not for sitting on but some of the other rooms did have a balcony with a table. We had shutters and they really did keep the sound out so slept well too. There is a small roof terrace which you can sit on to look over the roof tops. We went in May which although not high season attracts high rates in all the places we stayed if you traveled in October onwards room rates everywhere seem to be half of what we paid.
